In keeping with core Society objectives and to honour the late Phillip Pendal,founding member, first president and past Patron of the Society this award will be offered annually. The Society envisages this award will become an important award within the City, a focal point encouraging the City’s young residents to participate in the recording and research of heritage. Prize total is up to $1,000.00.
Entrants are encouraged to use a photograph which they have taken or from their own collection. If this is not possible you may select one of the two photographs shown below (refer to the brochure for sizing) or chose a photograph shown below.

The photograph and corresponding story must be the entrant’s own original work and reflect factual aspects of heritage and history relevant to the City of South Perth, Como, Karawara, Kensington, Manning, Salter Point, South Perth, Waterford and boundary rivers. one theme and one photograph from those shown above.
